Bowling is a St Louis Park High School student activity. Bowling is a co-ed sport in the fall. Members of the bowling teams are eligible for varsity letters.
Texa-Tonka Lanes is the sponsoring bowling center for the SLP High School teams. They provide lanes for practices and conference competition.
Practice starts August 14, 2017 on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:30 pm. Matches are on Friday afternoons after school. The activity fee is $100.00 per student.
The regular season runs from early September to mid-November. Some bowlers and teams qualify for post-season competition that can last into early December.
Minnesota High School Bowling is administered by the Bowling Proprietors Association (BPAM) and are governed by a set of rules that have been modeled after those of the Minnesota State High School League. Learn more about the leagues at www.mhsb.org.
Bowling is a NCAA sport for women, and a NAIA sport for men. Approximately
100 colleges and universities are now offering scholarships to bowlers.
