The Winona State Bowling Club is looking for bowlers that are interested in bowling at the collegiate level. The club fields both a men's and women's team and

we are looking for both men and women to help fill out the teams for next year. You can be sanctioned either youth or adult and still bowl collegiately.

We are a club team and cannot offer scholarships to our bowlers but we do have lower costs than most collegiate teams. Many college bowling teams will require you to

pay a tryout fee or a club fee. These fees can be anywhere from 50-1000 dollars PER year. As part of the Winona State Bowling team you will not be required to pay any of these fees.

There will only be two costs that you will be required to cover in your four years at Winona State University.

The first is jerseys. Our jerseys are custom made for our team and are of high quality.

These jerseys cost $130.00 but once this is paid you will not have to pay anything more for jerseys in your four years.

The second cost is practice time. Currently practice time is not covered in our budget but only costs five dollars per practice week.

Our practices are two hours long and are on challenging sport conditions.

The costs that are covered by the university are sanctioning fees, tournament entry fees, hotel expenses, gas expenses, and food expenses.

Each person is given 20 dollars for food for each tournament weekend. We bowl eight tournaments per season.

Four of these are our conference tournaments. Each tournament is two days long and is conducted on a Saturday and Sunday.

The Winona State Bowling team is very competitive locally and nationally. We have one of the only women's bowling teams in the state of Minnesota.

The men's team is the best collegiate bowling team in Minnesota just behind Minnesota State-Mankato.

In the national rankings each team is expected to be ranked in the top 50 with each advancing to Intercollegiate Team Sectionals.

It is here that teams receive the chance to qualify for the national championships.
